Design Context Overview
A design context is used to capture a subset of the components in a CAD assembly that are relevant to a design task. It is created from a configuration context in order to collect the CAD models associated with a known product configuration in Windchill. Once created, the CAD documents in the design context are placed in a workspace, ready for you to open in your CAD application to complete the design task.

A design context can also be created from a workspace containing a CAD assembly.
