Opening a Part
To display an part in an explorer, use the following procedure:
1. Select File > Open Part.
2. In the new window that opens, enter search criteria for the object. Click the attribute details icon to modify the search criteria that display.

When you enter information in more than one field, the search looks for object that match all values; object that match one criterion but not another are excluded from the results. Use an asterisk (*) as a wildcard in the fields to modify your search. Also, for the Name and Number fields, you can select Not Equals from the drop-down list to exclude criteria from the results.
3. Click Search.
4. In the Results pane, two tabs appear: Results and Iteration History.
◦ From either tab you can do the following:
▪ Highlight an object and click the information page icon for the selected object.
▪ Click the attribute details icon in order to modify the columns that display in the table.
◦ From the Results tab, select an object and click the Iteration History tab to view the iteration information for the selected object.
5. Select a object you want to open, and click OK.

Double click the object you want to open.
The selected object appears in the explorer window.

Configurable parts can be opened only when working in draft mode or in an annotation set.
