To edit items in Word
1. Select or display the item to be edited in the PTC RV&S client. Select Item > Edit Item in Word. The Edit in Word dialog box displays. If the dialog box does not display, go directly to Using the Word Editor.
2. Select from the following options:
Selected item and children specifies to edit the selected item and all of its child items. The option is available if the item selected has child items connected through relationship fields.
From the Template list, select the template to be used for editing the item. Templates are defined by your administrator, and a description (if provided) displays in the field below the selection. Templates determine how the item fields displays in the Word editor, making it easier for you to edit the information.
If you cannot make a list selection, either your administrator defined a single template that you must use, or no template is defined for you. If no template is defined for you, contact your administrator for assistance.
