Editing a Parameter Value
You can edit parameter values of type String and Pick List in the Item View and in DocStudio.
Editing a String Type Parameter Value
1. Open the item in the Item View or in DocStudio.
2. Click Edit.
To edit parameter value in the Item View:
◦ In the Item Edit view, navigate to the tab that contains the Parameter Values field.
◦ In the Parameter Values table, select the parameter value to be edited.
The
icon is highlighted.
◦ Click
.
The Edit - Parameter Values window opens. Make the necessary edits.
To edit parameter value in DocStudio:
◦ Navigate to the Parameter Values field and click the Parameter Values table.
The Edit - Parameter Values window opens
◦ In the Parameter Values table, select the parameter value to be edited.
The
icon is highlighted.
◦ Click
.
The Edit Value window opens
◦ Make the necessary edits and click Save.
3. Click Proceed.
4. Click Apply and then click Save.
Editing a Pick List Type Parameter Value
1. Open the item in the Item View or in DocStudio.
2. Click Edit.
To edit parameter value in the Item View:
◦ In the Item Edit view, navigate to the tab that contains the Parameter Values field.
◦ In the Parameter Values table, select the parameter value to be edited.
The
icon is highlighted.
◦ Click

The Edit - Parameter Values window opens
To edit parameter value in DocStudio:
◦ Navigate to the Parameter Values field and click the Parameter Values table.
The Edit - Parameter Values window opens.

◦ In the Parameter Values table, select the parameter value to be edited.
The
icon is highlighted.
◦ Click
The Edit Value window opens.
3. Optionally, update the name and description.
4. Optionally, to add a new value, click the first row in the Parameter Values table and type the value.
You can add only a single new value in the first row. However, you cannot edit existing pick list values.
5. To set the required value, click
in the
Set Value column. The slider turns
indicating that the value is selected.

| In DocStudio, after making the necessary edits, click Save in the Edit Value window. The Edit - Parameter Values window opens and the edited parameter value is highlighted indicating the changes made. |
6. Click Proceed.
| Parameter values that are locked at higher hierarchical levels are not available for selection in the Edit Value window. |
7. Click Apply and then click Save.
