Rich Text Editor Toolbar Modes (GUI Only)
The Rich Text Editor in the Windchill RV&S client GUI provides three toolbar modes for configuring the appearance of the rich text toolbar. You can select a toolbar mode according to your requirements. To select the mode of the toolbar in the Windchill RV&S client GUI:
1. Click > . The Options dialog box opens.
2. On the General tab, select a toolbar mode under the Rich Text Editor Toolbar Mode option. The following modes for the toolbar are available:
◦ Wrap: The additional options in the toolbar that do not fit in the first row are available on the next row.
◦ Floating: The additional options in the toolbar appear in a floating toolbar below the horizontal ellipsis when you click the ellipsis.
◦ Scrolling: The additional options in the toolbar are hidden. To view these options, scroll the toolbar.
3. Click OK.

• You can set independent toolbar modes for Document edit view, Item edit view, Items pane edit view (inline editing of items) and Item Details pane edit view. The setting is retained every time after the client restarts.
