Content Pane
The DocStudio content pane displays the attributes and information related to an item in different column fields. Rich content and graphics are also displayed in the content pane.
Using the Column Manager, you can select the columns you want to display in the content pane. For more information on using the Column Manager for displaying columns in DocStudio, see Configuring Columns in DocStudio.
Within the content pane, you can do the following:
Autosize or reset the column width. Hover the pointer over column name to view the hamburger menu . Change the width of the columns using the options in the hamburger menu.
Default width is defined for all columns displayed in the content pane. You can reduce the column width below the defined default width. See Default Column Width in DocStudio for details.
Pin the selected columns to the left or the right in the content pane.
PTC recommends that you do not pin more than 4 columns. If the pinned columns have large column width, you will not be able to access the other columns in the content pane.
Include or exclude the columns in the content pane by clicking and selecting the check box from the column name list. To display all columns in the content pane, select the check box adjacent to Search.
Within the fields, you can use the column filters to filter out specific items from the loaded data by setting the filtering conditions in the filter drop-down. For more information, refer to the topic Sorting, Searching and Filtering the Data.
Copy cell content: Right-click any cell in the table and select Copy to copy the row content. Select Copy With Headers to copy the row content along with the column headers.
*
Only content from rich text content fields is copied as plain text.
You can copy field values of multiple cells using CTRL + Click.
You can also copy cell content using the keyboard shortcut CTRL+C.
Export content: Right-click any cell in the table and select Export All. Options to export the content in CSV or Excel format are provided. When column filters are applied, only the filtered data is exported.
*
If you are working on an iPad, you need to long press the selected cell to get the Copy, Copy with Headers, and Export All options.
You can copy and export contents of multiple cells using CTRL+Click. However, multiple cell selection operation is not possible on iPad.
