Adding Contents to an Existing Cross-cutting Perspective
To add contents to an existing cross-cutting perspective:
1. Open a document in DocStudio, and select the contents to be included in a cross-cutting perspective.

It is recommended not to add more than 100 contents to a cross-cutting perspective at a time and not to have more than 5000 contents in a cross-cutting perspective. A cross-cutting perspective crossing these thresholds may slow down the overall experience of working with cross-cutting perspectives.
2. Click Add to Cross-cutting Perspective.
A window for adding the selected items to a new or existing cross-cutting perspective opens.
3. Select Existing.
The following types of cross-cutting perspectives are available for selection:
◦ Cross-cutting perspectives that you have created
◦ Cross-cutting perspectives for which you have edit permissions

• The following types of cross-cutting perspectives are not displayed and hence not available for selection:
◦ Any cross-cutting perspective that you have created but is being edited by another user.
◦ Any cross-cutting perspective not created by you but shared with you is being edited by another user.
• Editing the same cross-cutting perspective in different tabs by a same user is not supported.
4. Filter the existing cross-cutting perspective and select the required cross-cutting perspective.
5. Click Add.
A message displaying successful modification of the cross cutting perspective with a link to it appears on the top-right corner of the page. To view the cross-cutting perspective, click the link available in the message or navigate to the Home Page.

Default fields that are part of the document type in DocStudio View are included as columns in the cross-cutting perspective.
For example, if the existing cross-cutting perspective has the following columns:
Category, Text, Validated By
The content being added has the following columns:
Category, Summary, State
The updated cross-cutting perspective will also contain the additional columns from the newly-added content:
Category, Text, Validated By, Summary, State
