Locking and Unlocking Parameter Values

You can lock or unlock a parameter value in the Item Edit View or while editing content in DocStudio. When you lock the parameter value either in Item View or DocStudio, the lock is applied both in DocStudio and Item View.

Rows for parameter values that are locked appear with the

icon in the Parameters Value table. The Locked In column of the Parameters Value table displays the ID of the item in which the parameter value is locked.

If a parameter value is locked in an item at a higher hierarchical level, you cannot add or edit the value in the child item.
