Adding a New Parameter Value in DocStudio
To add a new parameter value in DocStudio:
1. Open the document in DocStudio.
2. Select Edit Content from the Select Action list.
3. Navigate to the Parameter Values field and double-click in the Parameter Values table.
If there are no previously added parameter values, the Add Value window for editing parameter values opens.
a. Select New.
b. Type the name, description, and value for the parameter.
c. Click Add.
The Edit - Parameter Values window opens. A new parameter along with its value is added to the first row in the Parameter Values table.
d. Click Proceed.
The Parameter Values table is updated with the newly added parameter value.
e. Click Save.
If there are existing parameter values, the Edit - Parameter Values window opens .
a. Click in the Parameter Values table.
The Add Value window opens.
b. Select New.
c. Type the name, description, and value for the parameter.
d. Click Add.
The Edit - Parameter Values window opens. A new parameter along with its value is added to the first row in the Parameter Values table.
e. Click Proceed.
The Parameter Values table is updated with the newly added parameter value.
f. Click Save.

When you are adding a new parameter value whose name matches with an existing parameter name, the parameter value uses the description from the existing parameter after you click Apply or Save. This is applicable while adding a new parameter value in DocStudio as well as Item View.
