Plan exchange process
This section describes what steps should be performed by each roundtrip participant who joins a roundtrip in order to plan the exchange process.
Exchange Plan
The exchange plan regulates the exchange process. For the exchange to be successful, each roundtrip participant who joins the roundtrip should adhere to the exchange plan, especially about the following:
How many documents should be imported.
Which attributes may be edited.
Which attributes may not be edited by employees of the roundtrip participant.
Infrastructure and staffing requirements
Each roundtrip participant faces several decisions about infrastructure and staffing, including the following:
Whether a shared project is required.
Where the ReqIF/RIF file should be saved.
Which employees should be involved in the work process described in the exchange plan.
All employees who will be working on the imported documents should be informed about the contents of the exchange plan that are relevant to them.
Example 6. Example:
In the example, the goal of the exchange is to clarify the user requirements. The requirements text may not be changed by the supplier. They may only edit the comment attribute that was created for each of them.
It is important that all requirements engineers of the supplier who work on this project understand that any changes they make to the requirement text will be lost, and that any proposals for a change to the requirement text must be made in the comment attribute.
