Directory structure
The creation of an Windchill Requirements Connector Project also creates the subfolder .ategoExerptSettings\replication under the project directory. This folder stores the replication information from all contained roundtrip configurations stored in the project. When editing a configuration for the first time, a directory is generated having the same name as the configuration. This directory contains sub-directories that store diverse types of data. This data is needed to perform export and import operations, execute tasks and store the audit information.
It is highly recommended not to delete any folder or file created by Windchill Requirements Connector. Otherwise you might damage the exchange process.
The following sub-directories are generated:
audit
Maintains the audit records.
The name of an audit record directory is composed of a timestamp and the operation type used, for example: 2009-07-21_09-35-03_export. There are three types of audits: export, import and batch error.
exchange
Is used to store temporary RIF files during export or import.
If your installation is fitted with the Windchill Requirements Editor, it is possible to view the exported/imported documents. The export directory contains the last export, its contents are deleted when a new export operation is performed. The import directory contains the files used for the next import operation. After each successful import, the corresponding data is deleted. The directory contents are archived in the audit before deletion.
