Configure import relations
Before a document containing relations can be imported a few settings need to be configured
To configure the relations in a document for the first import click on Links in the Configure import section of the Guided Actions view or select the Links tab at the top of the Import tab.
Set target path(s) for link module(s)
This topic is for Doors only.
The target path defines the project in the RE/RM tool where the link module(s) will be stored.
• To select a target path click on the ... button in the Unique Target Path cell of a link module for which the target path should be configured
• On the left hand side all projects within he RE/RM tool are listed that can be used as a target path. Select the project you want the link module(s) to be imported into
• On the right hand side the link modules are listed. Select all link modules you want to import into the selected project by ticking the checkbox next to the link module name.
• Click on Finish to set the target path for all selected link modules. The target path will be shown in the links table.
Select relationship type
This topic is for Windchill RV&S only.
In Windchill RV&S a relationship type has to be set before an import of links can be done
• Click on the ... button in the Relationship cell of a relation group for which the relationship type should be configured
• On the left hand side the available relationship types are listed. Select the relationship type that should be used for the relation group(s)
• On the right hand side the relation groups are listed. Select all relation groups which should be configured with the selected relationship type by ticking the checkbox next to the relation group
• Click Finish to set the relationship type for all selected relation groups. The relationship type will be shown in the links table.
