Configure documents
Before a document can be imported a few settings need to be configured
To configure a document for the first import click on Documents in the Configure import section of the Guided Actions view or select the Documents tab at the top of the Import tab.
Set target path(s)
The target path defines the project in the RE/RM tool where the document will be stored.
• To select a target path
◦ Click on Select target paths in the Configure import section of the Guided Actions view
◦ Click on the ... button in the Target Path cell of a document for which the target path should be configured
• On the left hand side all projects within the RE/RM tool are listed that can be used as a target path. Select the project you want the document(s) to be imported into
• On the right hand side the documents, which can be imported for the first time, are listed. Select all documents you want to import into the selected project by ticking the checkbox next to the document name.
• Click on Finish to set the target path for all selected documents. The target path will be shown in the document table.
Select document type
This topic is for Windchill RV&S only.
In Windchill RV&S a document type has to be set before an import can be done
• Click on the ... button in the Document Type cell of a document for which the document type should be configured
• On the left hand side all available document types are listed. The available document types are defined in the mapping file referenced in this roundtrip configuration. Select the document type you want to use for the document(s)
• On the right hand side the documents which can be imported for the first time are listed. Select all documents which should be configured with the selected document type by ticking the checkbox next to the document.
• Click Finish to set the document type for all selected documents. The document type will be shown in the document table.
