New Parts List Information Element Dialog Box
The New Parts List Information Element dialog box allows you to create a new parts list, and then add the parts list to the currently selected object in the information structure.
The New Parts List Information Element dialog box is displayed when you select New > New Parts List Information Element from the Actions menu in the Folder Contents pane.

Displays the current product.
Type
This should be set to AAD Part List.
If you are working with products created with earlier releases, you may need to configure your product to make this type available. For information, see Configure S1000D Product Preferences.
