Creating a Defect—Selecting Affected Objects
The Affected Objects table in the Select Affected Objects step displays the objects that are affected by the defect.
Changing the Table View
You can limit the objects displayed in the Affected Objects table by selecting a view from the Pick a View drop-down list. Views such as Software Builds, Parts, Documents, CAD Documents, Dynamic Documents, Requirements, and Variant Specifications may appear, allowing you to view only those objects.
If you have selected one or more software builds as affected objects, select one of the following values under the Type of association column:
Reported In—Indicates that the defect is reported in the selected software build.
Submitted To—Indicates that the fixes for the defect are submitted to the selected software build.
Actions for Affected Objects
In the Affected Objects table toolbar, actions that are common to change objects such as issues, variances, change requests, and change notices are available. These actions are also available from the toolbar actions menu.
For more information, see Affected Objects Table for Change Requests.
