Managing a Windchill Directory Server
The Windchill Directory Server management utility, called the control panel, provides a graphical user interface (GUI) from which you can perform common Windchill Directory Server management activities on a local or remote machine.
To use the Windchill Directory Server control panel, you must log on to a machine as a user who has access to the Windchill Directory Server installation. Once you have logged on to the machine, you must start the control panel, select the server that you want to administer, and authenticate using the Windchill Directory Server Administrator DN and password that was defined when you installed the selected Windchill Directory Server.
The Windchill Directory Server is the LDAP directory server that is bundled with Windchill and is powered by OpenDJ technology. Windchill can use the Windchill Directory Server for maintaining users and user-defined groups who have access to Windchill. The basic Windchill architecture includes the LDAP directory server that is bundled with Windchill and can optionally include other enterprise LDAP directory servers.
