About the PLM Connector Importable Package License Group
The PLM Connector Importable Package license group is available out-of-the-box to manage your users who are licensed using PTC’s PLM Connector Client license. In addition to the capabilities provided by the Creo Packages product, the PLM Connector Client license allows users to create package delivery ZIP files formatted to be imported into another Windchill system as a received delivery. Only users who are licensed with the PLM Connector Client license and who are members of the PLM Connector Importable Package license group are able to create a package delivery ZIP file in an importable format.
*
You are not required to install Windchill PLM Connector – Creo Packages to use the PLM Connector Importable Package license group or the PLM Connector Server Importable Package license property.
By default, the importable format option can be selected by users in the PLM Connector Importable Package license group when using the Zip Package for Delivery action. You can configure the package type to change the available format options. For more information, see Package Type-Based Properties.
*
Importable delivery ZIP files can only be created in Windchill PDMLink.
Group membership is viewable using the Participant Administration utility. As with other user-defined groups, this group can contain users or other groups. A flat list of all users in the group is available from the PLM Connector Importable Package tab of the Site > Utilities > Usage and License Reporting utility. This utility also provides a count of all group members. For more information, see PLM Connector Importable Package Licenses Table.
*
If your site has configured the Performance Advisor for PTC Windchill to send reports to PTC, the number of users in the PLM Connector Importable Package license group is sent with the other regular reports. For more information, see Performance Advisor for PTC Windchill Preferences.
For more information about creating importable packages, see Format Options. For more information about exporting and importing packages, see Using Packages to Import and Export Data.
