License Management Utility

Basic Administration > Managing Licenses > Windchill Licensing > License Management Utility

Use the License Management utility to retrieve a license automatically or manually request a file from licensing tool on PTC Support site . Only administrators have access to this utility.

The following four tabs are available in the utility:

• Settings

• License Information

• License Notifications

• Report

The License Management utility provides the following capabilities:

• Obtain license file

• Renew licenses

• Activate a new license

• View license information which includes entitled license feature, total quantity, available quantity and latest expiration date

• Track license consumption

• Save license settings

• View license notifications

• Generate license usage report

You can access this utility from Site

> Utilities > License Management. From the Settings tab in the License Management window, you can import Windchill licenses using one of the following options:

• Retrieve license online — Use this option to activate your license key automatically. For more information, see Retrieving License Online .

• Import license from a file — Use this option to activate your license key manually. For more information, see Importing License from a File.
