Revising a Part
Revising a part creates a new version of the part. For example, you create Version B from Version A.

If associated CAD documents exist, you have the option to also create new versions of those documents.
Use the following procedure to revise a part:
1. Select the part to be revised.
2. Select Selected > Revise or click (the Revise toolbar icon).
3. If the part being revised has associated CAD documents, as defined by build rules, you are prompted as to whether to also revise the CAD documents.
Click Yes to revise both the part and its associated CAD documents; click No to revise only the part.
4. Select the folder location, life cycle, and team for the new revised part.

A part must be checked in before you can revise it.
