Control Characteristics
In a process, part, assembly, or system, control characteristics are any functional features, geometrical or material properties, that can be qualified, measured, or quantified and for which variation or deviation control is necessary.
Control characteristics are allocated to process plan operations for quality control purposes.
They can be:
when first creating an equivalent link, propagated from an upstream part to a downstream part during BOM transformation.
allocated to operations.
verified against process plans.
displayed in work instructions.

Control characteristics must be enabled before they can be used. For information on how to enable control characteristics see the post-installation instructions for Windchill MPMLink.
