Task Information Page
A task is a work object assigned to a user for completion.
The task information page is a collection point for information related to the task. The information page of a task is accessed by clicking the name of the task or the information icon on the Tasks table.
From the information page, you can perform actions on a task, as well as view the object attributes and any related information.
Click Save to save your changes or Complete Task to save your changes and submit your input.

Actions
Information pages contain a list of applicable actions in a menu just below the object identification line. See Common Actions for a list of common actions in Windchill. The availability of actions depends on the status of the software build object and your access to it. For more information about status indicators, see Object Status.
The following actions may be of particular interest for this object.

Description
Accept
Takes responsibility to do the task.
Assign Resources
Opens the Assign Resources window, allowing you to search for existing resources or create a new resource to associate to the object.
Complete Task
Click Complete Task to save your changes and submit your input.
Delete Deliverable
Removes the deliverable from the Windchill database.
Discussions
Displays the Discussions table, allowing you to work with existing discussions and to create new discussions.
Edit Deadline
Opens the Edit Due Date window, allowing you to change the deadline.
Insert Activity Below
Opens the New Activity window, allowing you to define a new activity. The new activity displays below the selected object.
Launch Task Assistant
Opens the Task Assistant, allowing you to insert comments and complete the task.
New Deliverable
Creates a new deliverable. For more information, see the help available from the New Deliverable window.
Notebook
Displays the Notebook table, allowing you to work with existing notebooks and to create new notebooks.
Reassign
Assigns the task to another user.
Save
Click Save to save your changes.
Track Work
Opens the Track Work window, allowing you to enter the percentage or hours of work completed for the selected task.
Tabs
Refer to the following table to learn about the tabs that appear in the software document and software configuration data information page. You can customize the tabs on each object information page to include the information most useful to you. For more information, see Customizing Information Page Tabs.
