Introduction to Distributed File Server Worker
The purpose of the Distributed File Server Worker is to eliminate the WAN file transfer of files when publishing data using a remote worker. To accomplish this, the workers in close proximity to a file server can be configured to retrieve the files directly from that file server. In addition, an optional feature is available to allow the created visualization files to be stored on the file server directly, rather than transferring them back to the master.
These instructions assume a worker has already been set up and configured. If a worker has not been set up, refer to Configuring the Worker Agent and configure a new worker.
