File Format for Importing Part Related Documents
The following table describes the format of data in a part related document import worksheet. It defines each column header, indicates whether the column is required, and provides a description of the data that can be entered for each column.

Document Number

A document identifier to link with the part.
Document Organization ID

An organization identifier that owns the document to link with the part.

An organization ID is necessary when importing documents that are not part of the target organization.
Document Revision

The revision number of the document to link with the part. For example, the revision for a new document is A.
Document Container

The default value of the container from which the import tool was launched.
The following example shows the full path to the container:
/wt.inf.container.OrgContainer=PTC/wt.pdmlink.PDMLinkProduct=Test_Product where PTC is the organization name, and Test_Product is the product name.
Part Number
Yes
A unique identifier assigned to a part.
Part Revision
No
The revision number of the part being updated.
Part View
No
The view of the part being updated, such as Design or Manufacturing. If you have created a customized view using the View Administration, it can also be listed as a value.

If the selected view does not contain a part, a “part not found” warning is displayed.
Part Organization ID
No
The identifier of the organization that owns the part. The default value is the organization ID of the owning container.

Part Container

The default value of the container from which the import tool was launched.
