Exporting and Importing Selected Shared and System Table Views
Site and organization administrators can export and import selected shared and system table views from one Windchill system to another, so long as both systems are of the same release level. For example, you can export a table view from a test system and import it into a production system.
• Organization administrators can select and export shared table views created by an organization administrator within the same organization.
• Site administrators can select and export the following:
◦ System table views (the table views provided when the product was installed)
◦ Shared table views created by a site administrator
◦ Shared table views created by an organization administrator
Exporting Selected Shared and System Table Views
Use either of these methods to export customized table views:
• Export or import one or more shared table views using the system administration tool, Business Administrative Change.
• Export views related to the current view using table-specific export action from the Customize View List.
Exporting all or selected shared or system table views using Business Administrative Change utility:
1. To keep track of incremental changes, set up Windchill before you start transferring shared table views according to your Windchill deployment environment. For more information, see Business Administrative Change Promotion Process.
2. Export the shared table views from the development system. For more information on exporting using the Business Administration Change tool, see Create a Package of Business Administrative Changes.
3. Save the ZIP file for the view or views.
Exporting a selected shared or system table view using Customize View List:
1. Navigate to the table containing the shared or system table view and select Customize View List.
2. From the Customize View List window:
◦ Click the export icon
in the table row for the view you want to export.

◦ Select the appropriate checkboxes for multiple views, and click the export icon from the table toolbar.

Importing Shared and System Table Views
You can import the table views manually or create custom import automation tools in the following ways:
1. Use the system administration tool, Business Administrative Change, REST APIs or its command line utility to import the zip package file created by the Business Administrative Change export. For more information, see Import a Package of Business Administrative Changes
2. Use the context’s business administration tool, Import/Export Management to manually import the jar of table views exported from the Customize View List page. For more information, see Working with the Import/Export Management Utility.
3. Automate the import of manually created or command line utility created JAR file by creating a loader as per the instructions given in the article How to load an exported zip file via LoadFromFile utility in Windchill PDMLink.
