Configuring Release Target
When releasing a change notice, you might not always want the resulting objects to go to the Released state. Instead, you may want them to go into a different state.
Information assumes familiarity with the Resulting Objects table found on the Change Task wizard. Knowledge regarding Life Cycle Transitions will also be helpful.
If a resulting object has a release target that was set during the change notice release, the resulting object goes into the state defined by the release target transition. Release target transitions can be configured to include additional change management transitions. See Creating Change Transitions for more information on configuring transitions.

Change Management/Select the Change Transitions for Release Target

To use alternate transition targets on the Windchill installation that has been updated or upgraded from a release that preceded Windchill 10.1 M010, you must modify the change notice workflow template. For the change notice workflow, when releasing a change notice, use the releaseChangeables API.
