Co-produce Object
In a manufacturing plant, the same material can be used to produce different components required to build a product.
Parts that are produced in a single production process can be put together as a co-produce object. One of these parts can be considered as primary, and the other parts as secondary. The child parts of the primary and secondary parts are known as co-produce usages. For information on creating a co-produce object, see
Creating a Co-produce Object.
For information on the structure of the co-produce object, see
Co-produce Structure.

A property is provided to facilitate migration of existing co-produce objects when upgrading to Windchill 12.1.0.0 or later releases. For more information, see Migration of Co-produce Objects.

Key Points
• A co-produce object cannot exist as a standalone object, as it is not reusable. You need to create it in the context of a primary part.
