Product Tab
The Product tab appears when you are working with a product or a product option that is specific to a product, such as a colorway.
The
Product tab contains
Objects,
Quick Links, and
Key Information sections. It also contains a
Latest Tracked Changes section if your administrator has enabled that feature. Expand and collapse each section by clicking the expand icon
and the collapse icon
.
Click the product name in the Product tab to view the product Summary page.
Objects
The
Objects section lists the product options for the product, and includes an object count by product option. It also includes a product
Actions menu, as well as a new window icon
.
Click Actions to display a list of those actions that you can perform on the given product. Selecting an action takes you to the appropriate page for that action.
Click the new window icon to open your current PTC FlexPLM session in a new window. The product that you are currently working with appears in the new window.
Click the expand icon
to display the available product options for the given object.
Click the name of an individual product option to display the Actions menu for that option.
• Select View to access the appropriate Details page.
• Select Update to access the Update page.
• Select Delete to access the Delete Object page.
Quick Links
The Quick Links section lists many of the available product pages, arranged by the main page. For example, the Measurements page is a subpage of the Specifications page, and is indented to reflect this. The pages listed also appear in the menu bar at the top of a page.
When working with any product page, you can still use the menu bar and navigation path to navigate the product pages; however, you can also access the same pages using the Quick Links section on the Product tab.
Key Information
The Key Information section displays key system information about the product with which you are currently working. It also displays those attributes whose Quick Info checkbox has been selected in the Type and Attribute Management utility.
The following information is always displayed:
• The product name
• The product type
• The lifecycle state of the product
• The date the product was created
• The date the product was last updated
