Authentication Methods
Basic Authentication through ThingWorx
Basic authentication uses standard HTTP basic authentication through ThingWorx.
When you are installing and configuring the Experience Service, select Basic Authentication, and then make sure that ThingWorx is configured properly.
For more information, see the
“Basic Authentication Architecture” section in the
ThingWorx Help Center.
LDAP(S) through ThingWorx
LDAP(S) uses your company’s corporate LDAP server as the authentication source through ThingWorx. If using LDAP(S), you will still select Basic Authentication during your installation, and then make sure that ThingWorx is configured properly.
For more information, see
LDAP(S) ConfigurationSingle Sign-on (OpenID Connect) through the Experience Service
If you intend to use single sign-on (SSO), continue to

Experience Service and configured it to use basic authentication but want to switch to SSO, see
