Experience Service Basic Check
Validate that the Experience Service can be accessed from a device.

This check can be executed on any device or computer that needs to connect to the Experience Service

1. Enter the following URL in a web browser: <es-protocol>://<es-home>:<es-port>/ExperienceService/ping
For example: http://es.example.com:2019/ExperienceService/ping
2. If your Experience Service is running, an “OK” message is displayed in the browser.
Troubleshooting
• Make sure your Experience Service is running.
• Make sure the correct host name is specified.
• Make sure the protocol agrees with the protocol that was selected when installing the Experience Service (http or https) unless the Experience Service was started with the --nossl option in which case the protocol will be http.

Keep in mind that the Experience Service may have been installed in HTTP-only mode.

• Make sure the port is equal to the value of the port property in the configuration.json file.
• Make sure that the device or computer on which the web browser is running is on a network that can access the Experience Service. For example, you may need to connect to your company’s VPN.
