Live Guides and Markers in Procedures on HoloLens 2 Devices
Live Guides use model targets to lock tracking on a physical object; then, using AR, the user is guided to the location at which they should be looking. All steps that have a marker have a Live Guide available.
Until tracking has been established, you will see the Live Guide of the object. Once tracking has been established, you’ll see a complete AR animation, and then markers will appear, drawing attention to the areas of the object that you should be paying attention to. Turn Live Guides On and Off
If you want to view your procedure without the Live Guide and AR markers, you can turn the Live Guides on and off. Use one of the following methods to toggle Live Guides on and off:
• Tap the Live Guide button available on the top of the step card:
• Say “Show Live Guide” or “Hide Live Guide”
Reset Tracking
Sometimes, tracking may not be properly aligned. In this case, you can do one of the following to manually reset Area Target tracking:
• Say “Reset tracking”
• Tap the reset tracking button that is available at the top of the step card
Resetting tracking reboots the tracking experience and attempts to replace the location markers in the correct position.
