Searching for Assets
Use the New Search tool to search and filter the list of assets. The following fields are available:
My Search—Lists saved searches. You can reuse saved search criteria as part of a new search.
Keyword—Full-text search of all string asset data shown in the list. Press Enter after entering a keyword.
Asset Type—Search by asset type. For example, thing templates.
Add Filter—Perform multi-column queries based on exact or partial matches. The following filters are available.
Active Status
Alert Status
Connection Status
Model Number
Name
Operator
Owner
Serial Number

From the Configuration page of the PTC.AssetSearchHelper thing, you can enable the DisableSearchOnMashupLoad property so that a search can only be performed after a user has clicks Search.
Viewing the Table of Assets
The asset table contains the following information:
Column
Description
Connection Status
Indicates if the asset is connected with the following icons:
—Connected
—Not connected

When an asset is inactive, the row will appear
You can deactivate and activate assets in the list by selecting the asset and clicking one of the following icons at the top of the table:
—If the asset selected is not connected, this action appears above the table. Click it to activate the asset.
—If the asset selected is connected, this action appears above the table. Click it to deactivate the asset.
Alert Status
Indicates if the asset has any alerts with the alert icon.
Name
Name of the asset.
Model Number
Model number of the asset.
Serial Number
Serial number of the asset
Asset Type
Type of asset.
Owner
Person/Company assigned to this asset as the owner.
Operator
Person/Company assigned to this asset to monitor operations.
To view the Asset Dashboard for a particular asset, double-click the asset. For more information on the Asset Dashboard, see Viewing Asset Details.
Click Clear to view the full list of assets after completing your search. Click Save to save your search.

Saved asset searches that were created in ThingWorx Software Content Management are not available from ThingWorx Asset Management.
