Package Types
You can modify the following settings for package types:
• Visibility settings to choose which package types must be visible on the Create Package page.
• Default settings to choose which tab should be auto-selected on the Create Package page.

By default, the File-based Package and Instruction-based Package tabs are visible on the Create Package page, and the File-based Package tab is auto-selected.
Complete the following steps to modify visibility settings for file-based packages and instruction-based packages:
1. From the left pane in ThingWorx Software Content Management, under the Administration section, navigate to Configuration > Package Types.
The Package Type Settings page appears.
2. To toggle visibility of package types, select a package type in the list, and click .

The visibility setting of the default package type cannot be changed.
3. To set a package types as the default, select a package type in the list, and click .

A non-visible package type cannot be set as the default.
