Working with Assets (Admin Only)
Assets represent your physical and digital connected assets. Assets implement asset types which are thing templates in ThingWorx with a PTC:AssetType model tag.
A thing template must implement the PTC:AssetType model tag to appear in the following places in ThingWorx Asset Management:
• The Asset Type drop-down menu on the Search page
• The Asset Type drop-down menu on the Create Asset and Bulk Load pages
• The Select an asset type drop-down menu on the Asset Visibility page
• The Asset Type drop-down menus in the targeted asset searches in ThingWorx Software Content Management
