Anomaly Detection is enabled by default in ThingWorx. However, several steps are required to configure the functionality for your specific environment, including the prerequisite activities below.

Prerequisites

For more information about each activity, click on the appropriate links:

• Download the Anomaly Detection Services files and extract their contents.

• Install the Anomaly Detection External Services and run them. (First the Results service and then the Training service.)

• Ensure that an edge device you want to monitor is running and generating data.

Implementation

When each of the above prerequisites has been completed, prepare ThingWorx for Anomaly Detection by creating a remote Thing to represent your edge device and configuring properties that are bound to the edge device.

When theThingWorx preparation for Anomaly Detection is complete, create an anomaly alert to launch the anomaly detection process for a specific property.
