Remove the Extension
Before Removing Analytics Builder
Before your begin deleting extension files, consider whether you have created any Analytics Builder filter definitions that you want to preserve. If so, you can export them as follows before removing the extension files:
1. Click the Browse icon (
) on the left and search your list of entities to open the AnalyticsServerFiltersInstance.
) on the left and search your list of entities to open the AnalyticsServerFiltersInstance.2. In the toolbar at the top, click More and select the Export option. A Save As dialog box opens.
3. Save the Things_AnalyticsServerFiltersInstance.xml file to a location from which it can be imported later.
4. After the file is saved, return to the AnalyticsServerFiltersInstance entitiy, click More, and select the Delete option. Click Yes to confirm the deletion.
 | The AnalyticsServerFiltersInstance entity must be deleted before the ThingWorx_Analytics_Builder_Extension component can be removed in the procedure below. |
5. Return to your list of entities, browse for each of the following Things, and click the check box on the far left to select each entity:
◦ AnalyticsServerRuntimeInstance
◦ TempAnalyticsServerRuntimeInstance
6. Click Delete at the top of the list and click Yes to confirm the deletion. Both entities are deleted from the list.
Before Removing Analytics Manager
Before you begin deleting extension files, consider whether you have created any Analytics Manager data that you want to preserve. If so, you can export it as follows before removing the extension files:
1. In the toolbar at the top, click the Import/Export menu and select Export.
The Export dialog box opens.
2. Configure the following parameters in the dialog box:
◦ Export Option – Select To File
◦ Export Type – Select Collection of Data
◦ Tags – Click the new (
) icon and seach for TW:AnalysisServices
) icon and seach for TW:AnalysisServices◦ Repository – Accept the SystemRepository selection or click the delete icon (
) and select a different repository to save the exported files to.
) and select a different repository to save the exported files to.3. Click Export to start exporting the data.
4. Check the ApplicationLog file, located in the ThingWorxStorage folder, to confirm that the export procedure has completed.
Removal
To remove the Analytics Extension from ThingWorx, complete the following steps:
1. Log into ThingWorx Composer as an administrator.
2. In the toolbar at the top, click the Import/Export menu and select Manage Extensions.
The Manage Extensions window opens.
3. For each extension file that you want to delete, click the in the Actions column to delete the file.

◦ AnalyticsSmartGrid_ExtensionPackage
◦ Rangeslider_ExtensionPackage
◦ ROCChart_ExtensionPackage
◦ Distributionbar_ExtensionPackage
◦ LogoutButton
◦ FileUploadExt_ExtensionPackage
◦ ThingWorx_Analytics_Builder_Extension
To remove the extensions for Analytics Manager only, delete the following files in order:
a. mathcadconnector-extension
b. twxarchiver-extension
c. capacitymgmt-extension
d. clusterbase-extension
e. analyticsserverconnector-extension
f. analysisprovider-extension
g. analysisdeps-extension
You will be prompted to confirm the deletion before each file is deleted.
4. When you are prompted to confirm the deletion, click Yes.
| | If any extension entities are in use, the extension package will not be deleted and an error message will be displayed. To correct the error, export the affected entities and manually delete them from ThingWorx. |
