Set Visibility Permissions
To support the running of analysis events, visibility permissions must be granted to the TW.AnalyticsManager.AnalyticsManagerOrgUnit organization unit. Analysis events can be triggered on the following ThingWorx entities:
Things
Thing templates
Thing shapes
To control the level of security, use either of the following options while setting up visibility permissions:
Provide visibility permissions to the TW.AnalyticsManager.AnalyticsManagerOrgUnit organization unit.
Provide visibility permissions to the TW.AnalyticsManager.AnalyticsManagerOrgUnit organization unit individually for each entity on which the analysis event is based.
Complete the following steps to provide visibility permissions to the TW.AnalyticsManager.AnalyticsManagerOrgUnit organization unit:
1. In ThingWorx Composer, click in the left navigation panel.
2. Depending on the level of security that you choose, use one of the following options:
Provide visibility permissions to the organization unit:
a. In the left navigation panel, choose Collection.
The Permissions | Collection page is displayed.
b. Click the check box next to Things, and click Edit Permissions.
Alternatively, you can select Thing Templates or Thing Shapes.
Provide visibility permissions to the organization unit for individual entities:
a. In the left navigation panel, choose Entity.
The Permissions | Entity page is displayed.
b. Search for the entity (thing, thing template, or thing shape) that you want to provide permissions to.

If you are providing visibility permissions to individual thing templates, ensure that you provide visibility instance permissions to the TW.AnalyticsManager.AnalyticsManagerOrgUnit organization unit.
c. Click the check box next to the entity and click Edit Permissions.
3. Click Visibility to edit visibility permissions.
4. In the Search Organizations field, search for the TW.AnalyticsManager.AnalyticsManagerOrgUnit organization.
5. Click next to the TW.AnalyticsManager.AnalyticsManagerOrgUnit organization, and select TW.AnalyticsManager.AnalyticsManagerOrgUnit that is displayed.
The Org or Org Unit list displays TW.AnalyticsManager.AnalyticsManagerOrgUnit:TW.AnalyticsManager.AnalyticsManagerOrgUnit
6. Click Save.
