These characteristics are used to define limits and trigger alarms on metrics measured by asset properties. They must be attached to an attribute configured on the equipment which is associated with the appropriate equipment type for AMU Asset Properties.

Limits must be configured on an attribute-characteristic association where the attribute is on an asset equipment. Limits can only be assigned on the attribute’s equipment as there is no inheritance in this context. No products nor product types are allowed.
