A deployment is a process that downloads and then installs or executes the contents of a package on an asset. Packages must be published to be deployed. For information on test deployments for unpublished packages, see Create a Test Deployment.

In the Deployments section of the ThingWorx Software Content Management utility, you can create, find, and track deployments.

You can specify configuration settings for deployment performance, file-based package timeouts, instruction-based package time-outs, and auto-retry. For more information, see Configuration: Deployment.
