Response for Alexa
Use the Response for Alexa action to form a custom response and reprompt for Alexa. You can use the JSON output from other actions, and then format the output in a way that Alexa understands and responds.
Complete the following steps to use the Response for Alexa action in your workflow:
1. Click and drag the Response for Alexa action under Amazon Alexa to the canvas, place the pointer on the action, and then click or double-click the action. The Response for Alexa window opens.
2. Edit the Label name, if needed. By default, the label name is same as the action name.
3. Under the Response Speech section, do the following:
a. In the Speech Type list, select the type of output speech.
b. In the Enter Response Speech field, enter the text that Alexa renders as a voice response to a request.
4. Under the Reprompt Speech section, do the following:
a. In the Speech Type list, select the type of output speech.
b. In the Enter Reprompt Speech field, enter the text that Alexa renders as a reprompt.
5. Click Show additional fields.
6. In the Should End Session list, select true to end the session; otherwise, select false.
7. Click Done.
