Transforming Properties
Property Transform functionality provides a set of computational services for deriving value from streaming data. These services can be added to a numeric property on a Thing, Thing Template, or Thing Shape to automate certain analytics transformations. These computational services create a new value from the existing source property, and they are useful in a number of analytics scenarios:
• Automating simple data transformations
• Preparing data so it can be used for predictive analytics
• Working with alerts to notify when a streaming signal behaves in a specific way
These services are available only when the PropertyTransform microserver has been installed as part of the
Platform Analytics installation package. For more information about
