Release Advisor
Release Advisor is the primary source for system requirements and compatibility information for all PTC products. When you want to review a release matrix for a current PTC product, or are ready to upgrade to a new version of a PTC product, the Release Advisor can help guide you to the information you need. Use the following links to view release matrices for the ThingWorx Apps 9.1 releases:
To find system requirements or compatibility information for ThingWorx Apps releases, complete the following steps:
1. Log into the Release Advisor.
2. On the Primary Product page, select ThingWorx for the Product Family field, and ThingWorx Manufacturing & Service Apps for the Product field. Then select the Version that you want to view or upgrade to. Click Add.
3. Click Next.

At this point, you can click on the link to view the complete release matrix for the selected PTC product.

4. To find specific upgrade information, continue through the advisor adding any of the following information. Click Next to move through the pages.
◦ Additional PTC products that you currently use
◦ Databases you currently use
◦ Operating systems you currently use
◦ Additional recommended products that you are interested in
5. Release Advisor generates a compatibility report with suggested upgrades. You can also click on a link for an individual product to view the complete release matrix for that product.

You can click on the link provided to view the release matrix for your selected primary product from any page in Release Advisor.

Additional Information
ThingWorx Apps 9.1 shares the same core system requirements and compatibility matrix with ThingWorx 9.1, except as noted in the table below. For more information, see:
• The system requirements in the ThingWorx Help Center and the release matrix in Release Advisor for the ThingWorx version that is compatible with the ThingWorx Apps version that you are installing:
◦ If you are installing ThingWorx Apps 9.1.0, review the ThingWorx 9.1 System Requirements and ThingWorx Foundation 9.1.0.0 Release Matrix.
◦ If you are installing ThingWorx Apps 9.1.1, review the ThingWorx 9.2 System Requirements and ThingWorx Foundation 9.2.0.0 Release Matrix.

Data Source Support
|
• ThingWorx Apps supports data from KEPServerEX. KEPServerEX versions 6.3 and later support direct connectivity to ThingWorx Apps. Non-KEPServerEX servers and earlier versions of KEPServerEX can be connected using the OPC aggregator. The current actively supported versions of KEPServerEX start at 6.7.
• KEPServerEX and ThingWorx can be installed on the same machine. However, for a production environment we recommend separate machines. For more information, see KEPServerEX Version 6 Install Guide.
• ThingWorx Apps supports data from all other data sources supported by ThingWorx, in particular Edge MicroServer (EMS), and Azure IoT Hub.

Database Support
|
All supported PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server versions:
• PostgreSQL 9.6.19, 10.14, 11.9, 12.4
• Microsoft SQL Server 2016, 2017, 2019
Limited support for InfluxDB 1.8.0 (Open Source or Enterprise) and 1.8.2 (Enterprise) for use with subscription-based status calculation.

Windchill REST Services (WRS) Support
|
Operator Advisor in release 9.1 supports Windchill REST Services 2.1 with the following domains:
• PTC Manufacturing Process Management domain (MfgProcMgmt) v4
• PTC Product Management domain (ProdMgmt) v5
• PTC Navigation Criteria (NavCriteria) v3
