Manufacturing Planning Example Implementation
The Manufacturing Planning example implementation shows how the Operator Advisor building blocks can be used to craft user interfaces for manufacturing planning activities. This example implementation can be downloaded and imported as an optional extension into ThingWorx Apps. The data displayed in this example implementation is the data present in the Operator Advisor database. This data can be converted from Windchill MPMLink process plans, can be imported from another system, or can be added using the work definition management and job order management creation services found on the PTC.SCA.SCO.DefaultProductionOrderManager.
The Manufacturing Planning example implementation can be accessed by Administrators and Controls Engineers.
With the Manufacturing Planning example implementation, you can:
• View the operations associated with a work definition, including their attachments, control characteristics, linked equipment, and materials.
• Link equipment from ThingWorx Apps to a work definition or to operations within a work definition.
• Create, edit, and delete job orders, and link materials to job orders.
Adding the Manufacturing Planning Tile to the Console
To add the Manufacturing Planning tile to the ThingWorx Apps console, import the optional ThingWorx-Apps-<version>-extension-factory-demo extension. For more information, see Import Optional Extensions.
Viewing Mashups from the Example Implementation
To view the details of the mashups in the example implementation, or to tailor them for your own implementation, create a duplicate of each mashup. On the Design page of the duplicate mashup, you can explore the Mashup Builder settings, including the widgets, services, and bindings being used.
