Using the Property Transform Sample Mashup
One way to use the data generated by property transforms is by building a mashup to visualize the data. You can build your own mashup using the Mashup Builder in ThingWorx Composer, but for convenience, a sample reference mashup is available for import.
Requirements
ThingWorx Composer is installed and running.
The Property Transform microserver is installed, via the Platform Analytics installer, and its components are running.
The Property Transform zip file is downloaded and the xml file it contains is extracted: Property_Transform_Reference_Implementation.xml
At least one property transform has been created for a source property on a Thing in ThingWorx Composer.
Viewing Data in the Reference Mashup
1. Use the Import From File process to import the extracted Property_Transform_Reference_Implementation.xml file into ThingWorx.
2. In ThingWorx Composer, navigate to Browse > VISUALIZATION > Mashups and open the Transformed_Properties_Dashboard.
The mashup opens in Design view.
3. Click Preview at the top of the screen.
A new browser tab opens with a preview of the mashup.
4. In the Things field at the top of the mashup, select a Thing where at least one property transform has been created.
A dashboard is displayed showing a graph for each transformed property in the selected Thing. For some examples, see the images in the sections below.
5. To change the amount of data displayed in the dashboard, change the value of the Minutes in Past field at the top of the mashup and then click Reset. This field determines how much data to display for each transformed property in the selected Thing.
