Upgrading Servigistics InService in a High—Availability Environment
This section provides the steps to upgrade Servigistics InService in a highly available (24/7) environment. The process mentioned in the subsequent sections is supported only from Servigistics InService 7.1 and onwards, and cannot be used for upgrading from 6.x to 7.1.
Limitations and Expectations
• Ensure that two ports are available on every Servigistics InService server. Original port number must be defined in first setup. The UI of the new environment must be accessible at a port that is increased by 1000 than the previous installation. For example, if the old installation is using port 8080, the new environment must be accessible at 9080.
• The upgrade environment must be installed on the same server as the old environment.
• The new Servigistics InService installation must be of the same type as old (Publisher, Viewer, or Core).
• After the Upgrade Data task is run, the old Publisher must not be used.
