To upgrade an older Servigistics InService installation to version 7.1, you must first archive the existing software directory, and then install Servigistics InService 7.1 in the same location. When installing Servigistics InService 7.1 version, ensure that you use the same database, LDAP (Windchill Directory Server), and data storage configuration as the older installation. When installing Servigistics InService 7.1 version on the Viewers in a split or cluster environment as part of upgrading from a previous release, skip the LDAP and database configuration steps.
