Upgrade Considerations for ServiceMax Configurator
The following table provides information that helps you to determine whether you must run the ServiceMax Configurator for the supported releases.

Updates to the Existing Configurations and Standard SFMs
The following table provides information related to updates to the existing configurations or standard SFMs. The updates related to each release are listed as columns. After upgrading the ServiceMax package to 24.2, 24.1, or 23.2, you must run the ServiceMax Configurator for the following items to be updated in your org.

Updates to Existing Configurations
The following picklist values are added:
The Picklist value Technical Attribute Template is added to the SVMXC__Type__c field in the SVMXC__WPLN_WorkPlanTask__c Object and SVMXC__WPLN_ServiceTask__c Object.
The Picklist value Lookup is added to SVMXC__SM_Type__c field in 'SVMXC__SM_IB_Technical_Attributes__c'
The Product Template picklist value is added for the ‘Type’ field in the 'Product Structure’ object.
The following picklist values are added for SVMXC__Type__c field in the Work Plan Task object:

The following picklist values are added:
New picklist values for SVMXC__SM_Integration_Source__c field in Work Order object
Copilot_Action picklist value for the SVMXC__Action_Type__c field in SVMXC__ServiceMax_Processes__c object
New picklist value Canceled for Work Plan Task object
Not Started picklist value for the SVMXC_SM_Status_c field in the SVMXC_WPLN_WOServiceProduct_c object

This value is not set as default value after running the Configurator.
Standard SFM and Mapping PM_MAP_TemPlan002 is updated for new field Work Order Duration.
Standard PageLayout PAG_PM_Template update:
SVMXC__SM_WorkOrderDuration__c field added in Child section - Page Detail UniqueId: DETL114
The following picklist values are added:
UI-Component picklist value in Custom Action Type field for ServiceMax Process object.
Attachment-Pending picklist value in Status field for Service Tip object.
The standard mapping SVMXSTD: Warranty Terms to Warranty (MAP021) is updated with the Travel % Coverage field.
The standard Custom Action Issue Report/Feedback (OTH065) of type SF Action is added.
Updates to the Existing Standard SFMs / New SFMs
The Create Service Contract From Service Plan (Background Process) is updated to support Covered Work Plan.
The Edit Service Offering SFM is updated to support Work Plans Offering.
The Create Work Order From Case - With Service Product Standard SFM is updated to support new fields.
The Case to Service Product and Case Line to Service Product mappings are updated to support new fields.
The View WorkOrder standard SFM is updated to support Investigation.
The View Investigation standard SFM is added to view investigation items and edit their status.
The Edit Coverages SFM is updated to support coverage % and unlimited coverage information.

You must perform Clear Cache at least once for the updated SFMs to ensure the newly introduced fields appear when they are launched.
The Edit Coverages SFM is updated to support Covered Work Plan for Work Plan Entitlement
The following SFM processes are added:

The following standard SFMs are updated with the new code snippet Code011: Advanced Get Price.
Create Usage Lines from Estimates (TDM015)
Manage Work Order Lines - Usage (TDM016)
Manage Work Order Lines - Estimates (TDM017)
Capture Downtime(Capture_Downtime)
Configurator Size
Running the Configurator with all deployment options requires approximately 31 MB of storage in the org.
