Service Board Default Roles and Access Privileges
Roles are a key element in Service Board access control, and can include Permissions to view, edit, create, or delete specific Objects. By default, all users are assigned the Standard User role. Some Roles must be assigned concurrently with other related Roles from which they inherit Permissions. Additionally, users can be assigned multiple unrelated Roles.
Service Board ships with the following default Roles and access privileges.
Role
Access Privileges
Dispatcher
Access to Scheduler and Map functionality.
Dispatcher Read Only
Read-only access to Scheduler and Map tabs.
Crew Manager
Additional role used to grant access to Crew-management functionality to users who already have the Dispatcher role.
Technician
Access to Appointments with transition security for technicians using ServiceMax Go.
Service Board Administrator
Access to Service Board and Service Board Admin applications.
Service Board Integration
Dedicated role for integration users who synchronize data from Salesforce to Service Board and Max.
Service Board Read-Only All
Read-only access to Service Board and Service Board Admin applications.
Standard User
Default role for an authenticated user on the Max platform. Every user with Max platform login credentials must be assigned this role.
Developer
Access to Max Designer application.
System Administrator
Full access to all applications and Max Platform.
