Product Structure
Product Structure defines and manages the relationship between product, parts, assemblies, software, and replacements . It encompasses the following relationships:
Service BOM: A structured list of all components, assemblies, and sub-assemblies required to build, maintain, or repair a Product.
Replacement Parts based on Product Structure
Parts List: A list of parts associated with a product or component.
This feature enables organizations to efficiently manage and streamline their Product-related processes, ensuring accuracy and consistency across various levels of hierarchy.
Use Cases
End User can:
View the complete Service BOM for a Product within ServiceMax. Technicians can access detailed Service BOMs to understand the components involved in the Products serviced.
For example: The technician navigates to the Product page to quickly access the Service BOM.
Visualize the Service BOM in a tree structure to easily comprehend the hierarchical relationships between components. A tree view helps technicians quickly identify parent-child relationships and dependencies between parts.
For example: While diagnosing an issue, the technician uses the tree view to trace the source of the problem through the Service BOM hierarchy.
