Deleting a Root Cause
You can delete a root cause if it is no longer needed.
To delete a root cause:
1. Go to ServiceMax Setup > Investigations > Manage Root Causes.
The Root Causes page is displayed.
2. To view all root causes, click All Root Causes from the list view dropdown.
A list of root causes is displayed.
3. Locate the root cause you want to delete, then click the More Actions menu next to it and select Delete.
The Delete Root Cause pop-up window is displayed.
4. Click Delete to confirm the deletion or click Cancel to discard the action.
The selected root cause is deleted.
5. After deletion, a confirmation message appears at the top of the screen with an Undo hyperlink. Click Undo if you want to restore the deleted root cause.

The Undo option is available only for a few seconds.
