Share Attachments
You can share attachments downloaded in the Installed Base App using the native sharing option available on your device.
You can select one or more downloaded attachments and click the Share option to share these locally available attachments using the default email client configured on the device. You can also share PDF attachments with third-party applications if configured by your administrator.
Attachments that are not yet downloaded cannot be shared/printed.
To share a single attachment, you can follow these steps:
1. In the Attached Documents or Attached Images/ Videos section, click the menu () button on the right side for each attachment
2. Select the Share option to share attachment
On a Windows laptop, it opens a new mail using your configured email client with the selected file as an attachment.
On iPad, it opens the iOS Share Sheet option from which you can select the required app for sharing the selected file.
On Android, it opens the Share file(s) option for selecting the required app to share the selected file.
To share multiple attachments, you can follow these steps:
1. Click the Select button located at the right side of the Attached Documents or Attached Images/Videos section
2. Select the check box next to the files you want to share.
3. Click the click () icon to share multiple attachments using the default email client configured on the device
- Attachments can be shared through emails if it is enabled and configured on your mobile device.
- Social networking apps cannot be used for sharing attachments.
The number of attachments you can share in a single email depends on the overall size of the selected attachments and is not controlled by Field Service App. It is recommended that multiple attachments be shared in batches of 5. If there are large attachments, share them individually.
